Good News! Multiple Projects Participated by Zhiyu Industry Win Green Construction Awards

In September 2020, China formally set the goals of carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060. The construction sector ranks among China’s three major sectors for energy consumption and carbon emissions. To accelerate the low‑carbon and green transformation of the construction industry, the Ministry of Housing and Urban‑Rural Development issued the 14th Five‑Year Plan for Building Energy Conservation and Green Building Development in March 2022.

The plan explicitly calls for vigorous advancement of green construction. Guided by green development principles, green construction adopts resource‑saving, eco‑friendly, low‑emission, high‑efficiency and quality‑oriented construction approaches via scientific management and technological innovation, so as to realize engineering construction that fosters harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.

Recently, several projects with Zhiyu Industry’s participation have obtained honors including LEED Platinum Certification and International Design Awards (IDA) Honorable Mention, thanks to cutting‑edge technical strengths, mature solutions and fine construction workmanship.

Tailun Plaza Shenzhen

Tailun Plaza Shenzhen, undertaken by China Construction First Bureau with Zhiyu Industry as a participating contractor, has obtained the US LEED certification, widely known as the “Oscar of green buildings”. Its T1 Tower achieves Platinum‑level certification and T2 Tower attains Gold‑level certification.

LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Building Rating System) is a green‑building assessment tool launched by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2003. It is recognized as the most comprehensive and influential benchmark for building environmental performance and sustainability worldwide. Thanks to its successful commercial operation and market positioning, LEED has become the de‑facto mainstream global green‑building rating system, acknowledged by countries across all climate zones. LEED features four tiered ratings from basic to highest: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Located in the Houhai Central District, Tailun Plaza Shenzhen is a high‑end urban complex integrating commerce, culture and office functions. It serves as a landmark within the Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base.

New Building of Shenzhen Research Institute of Tsinghua University

The new building of Shenzhen Research Institute of Tsinghua University, constructed under CR Land’s agency construction with participation from Zhiyu Industry, has been granted pre‑certification at LEED Platinum — the highest tier of LEED green‑building standards — as well as an Honorable Mention from the International Design Awards (IDA).

Founded in California in 2007, the International Design Awards (IDA) ranks among America’s most authoritative international design competitions. It advocates sustainability, science and intelligence in design with rigorous evaluation criteria. Award categories cover architecture, interior design, product design, fashion design and graphic design. IDA draws global attention to unconventional, conceptual and highly creative design works. It recognizes outstanding creators in international design and discovers emerging talents across architecture, interior, product, graphic and fashion design worldwide.

Situated in Nanshan District Hi‑Tech Park, the new building borders Yuexing 4th Road to the east, Xinnan 9th Road to the north and Yuexing 5th Road to the west. It covers a land area of 15,049 sq.m with a total floor area of 128,000 sq.m. Adopting a twin‑tower layout, the building reaches a total height of 166 meters. Upon completion, it will function as a modern, forward‑looking benchmark research and teaching complex, forming a new hub for industry‑university‑research integration and a science‑and‑technology innovation compound.
